Bio

After his technical training as a carpenter, Mag. (FH) Benjamin Schilbach completed the degree course for Design and Product Management at the Fachhochschule Salzburg. In addition, he gained the degree of Project Management Practitioner (IPMA-Level-D), which enabled him to become a project manager in the area of hotel construction in Vienna. He then worked for Glasmarte GmbH as a developer, product manager and scientific director for a research project funded by the Austrian Research Foundation FFG and the state of Vorarlberg.

 Today, he is the founder and managing director of SCHILBACH GmbH, a young company at the cutting edge, above all in technological terms. SCHILBACH GmbH develops and distributes additional products for string instrument making and restoration work and works closely with Atelier SCHILBACH.

 

Qualifications

  • Training as carpenter at Dorfhuber in Kienberg, as well as at Orbis Naturana in Allertsham
  • Qualified as a Journeyman carpenter
  • Studied for a degree in "Mag. (FH) Design- und Produktmanagement" at FH-Salzburg 2004-2009
  • Certification for the IPMA Level D Project Management Practitioner
  • Winner of the Wögerer Design Award 2007
  • Employment as project manager at Signdesign in Vienna. (1 year)
  • Employment as a developer, product manager and designer at Glasmarte GmbH in Bregenz. (3 years)
  • Scientific Director at Glasmarte GmbH
  • Winner of the ACR Cooperation Prize 2015
