Marchetti Enrico, violin, Turin 1881.

Regarded as the best Turinese maker of the 20th century, Enrico Marchetti made instruments that are actively sought after by many musicians for their exceptional tonal qualities. We are proud to offer this stunning violin made in 1881, the year Marchetti opened his own workshop in Turin. Previously, he had worked in two important workshops: the Rinaldi’s and the Guadagnini’s. The instrument bears a deep red varnish, the original label, two “EM” firebrands around the label and is in perfect condition. Its voice is deep and mellow yet focus and has great projection. A perfect soloist instrument.
